I was using a 4S 1800mah Tattu lipo and could fly for about 25mins in still conditions with just enough power left for a VTOL landing.

i am planning to go with 4S-Molicell P45B 4500mAh

@@ANUBIS_RC They will work but you'll need to watch voltage sag at lower voltages. I couldn't make mine hover below 12v with my motors and props so you'll probably want to aim to land above 3.2V (which sadly will mean you won't be able to utilise the full 4,500mah)

Actually the opposite, the RAW footage was not much different. I'm really struggling with Gyroflow on the V2 camera. Tried tweaking the IMU and Sync data and it took 50 sync points to get it this smooth. Gyroflow is not my favourite program really. I'm just going to start using a proper gimbal as the results are far better.

@@Crunklefloop Oh, I'm really into Gyroflow recently. I'm finding it really easy....Try using YxZ camera lens profile...I think it's that one...I only use 5 sync points using auto sync...

​@EnglishTurbines All the settings are spot on, YxZ as you say. I think it may be a defective gyro chip in the camera. On the Pro Camera it's perfect. Even with Gyroflow workong correctly I don't like the zooming effect, particularly when panning the camera. It just looks a little too manufactured for me.

@@Crunklefloop Ah, I only have 2 Pro Cameras. One in a plane, the other in a quad...Both work fine, although the one in the plane suffers from jitters because of prop imbalance and a less than perfect panning cam mount....😳🇬🇧 I disable zooming...

I've never had the plane flip during landing however the video you saw with the flip (Bonafide Pirate) he was using the different Gimbal nose, we have a theory that this nose is more prone to catching the grass and flipping. I'm using the smoother FPV nose and haven't had that problem. I still take a lot of care for a smooth flare before touchdown though.

@@Crunklefloop yeah that was it - i think the elevated center of mass is going to be an issue

@youngmangoingwest I've not found the centre of gravity to be an issue myself. I've only flown with a 4S1P pack to-date. I've just built a 4S2P 9,000mah pack and will try that for the next flight

Haha, that's a very valid point! I hadn't thought about the washout effects being reverered when inverted. They have put a lot of thought into details such as internal antennas areas, a recessed GPS cover, direct drive servos etc. and the case design is spot-on that said I think things like the ESC access (or lack of) could be improved and perhaps a little more re-inforcement on the vertical stab. I'll work on fitting the HEQ gimbal for the next flight.

You might take a peak behind the motor mount, at some point, the esc might just be stuffed behind the motor in the tube. Given the detail elsewhere, hard to believed they overlooked. Just may not be obvious.

That's the plan! I actually went to fit it yesterday however it's too big to fit with the stock mounting plate in the Firefly nose. I'm going to design a different mounting plate so I can fit it.

The other chap is Giz, he lives not that far from me. The gimbal can work well with FPV but requires some setup to be able to lock all 3 axis when actively flying (as opposed to using cruise or waypoints). I've feel I've got my camera pointing a little too far downwards in this flight. Thanks for the kind words :-)

It was a clean break and glued back together without too much surgery required. It was flying again the next day.

The shaking was largely down to the PIFFs being untuned. After I'd tuned it, it was much smoothe (well as smooth as a 600mm wing can get)

The roll rate was surprisingly good. Despite the unfavourable winds, it was very easy to handle and predictable. I just used a 4S1P LiIon pack in this flight. I might try 4S2P next.

Haha, you mean you don't do a good luck kiss before a flight? It was my attempt raising the throttle whilst holding the radio as I didn't have a neck strap. I think it has potential, although it's not going to break any speed records. It's very quiet though. Nice and stealthy.

Yes it was Autolaunch, I'll drop the motor delay to zero and increase the idle and launch throttle whilst using a more gentle throw as I think throwing hard whilst holding the pod pitches the nose up which causes the FC to suddenly pitch down.

I think that most ducted small whoops like these are prone to wobbles in propwash, that's probably something that the more experienced pilots fly around. Flying forwards though I've found it really nice, even in winds. It's not available without the Moonlight.

@@Crunklefloop Yes, it looks good in windy conditions on TMCs....I think Caddex are missing a trick not selling it minus a video system.... IMO....🤔🤔😮🇬🇧

I can't remember off the top of my head. However I'm pretty sure they were just the BambuLab LW-PLA presets.

Thanks! Glad you like it. I was using Gensace Tattu 4S 1800mah 95C packs. I could fly for 20minutes on them if easy on the throttle. Most Lipos tend to have slightly less usable capacity than shown. To make sure you're getting the most out of the pack though, ensure your FC's current sensor is properly calibrated (www.mrd-rc.com/tutorials-tools-and-testing/flight-controller-therapy/setting-the-current-sensor-in-inav/) and in the OSD manual monitor cell voltage to gauge when to land. I try to land around at around 3.5-3.6v/cell with a Lipo.

This is using Walksnail. As it's a digital system the OSD is sent as data packets and decoded and displayed in the goggles rather than overlayed into the video feed by the Flight controller as seen in Analogue feeds. With digital even if the video starts to get blocky the OSD stays clear.

@sergemichaux8324 if you have Dji V1 or V2 you can get the same style of OSD I have here by using WTFos. Sadly not available on the Goggles 2 or O3
